A hidden way forward

It was an autumbreak last week and it felt so good to rest. Even though rest may sometimes look a bit different with small children, you know, dutys & responsibilities don’t stop. And maybe that’s why it’s super important to find ways to rest in the middle of everything.

We need to rest to recover,
to renew,
to get perseverance.

We need to rest to remember,
that we are not gods,
but that there is the One
who is.

It’s almost funny to think that
sometimes to obey is
to rest – and trust.

Life is offcourse not just about rest. Life is actully a lot about working and serving. But in order to being able to be productive, loving, creative and being serving with gladness, we need a rythm of rest – daily, weekly & seasonly.

Weekly day of rest invites us
to give up of all our worries
and instead to trust.

Resting is remembering.
Resting is turning.
Resting is trusting.

Rest is a hidden way forward.

“For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.” Isaiah 30:15
